Update

I'm gestating over here with a more weighty post; a lot of things are coalescing into focus since the election, and I'll get it out as soon as it all snaps into place. Our long national season of brainwashing seems to be subsiding now, and it is time to talk about it, now that there are those who have ears and eyes again.

In the meantime, behold one of the most powerful music videos that I've ever seen. God bless Johnny Cash; may he rest in peace. And God bless Rick Rubin, the producer who saw the whole man and captured the essence; the Saturday nights and the Sunday mornings and the pure Genius of Johnny Cash in the final years of his career. Instead of wasting away and disappearing, these two men welded their talents together and left us with an explosion of pure, true American expression in their final releases together.

It could happen no where else, and that is why I love this country.
